5k Your Way @ Wherever You Choose
May 11 @ 12:00 pm – Jun 30 @ 11:59 pm
You don’t need pants for a Zoom call, so why would you need them for a 5k? This is 5k Your Way!
Sign up by clicking here and post a photo or tons of photos on social media to show us how you 5k! Just mention @indianapolisparksfoundation on Facebook or @indyparksfnd on Instagram and Twitter and use hashtag #5kyourway.

About this Event

5K YOUR WAY

5K Your Way is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a 5K, 3.1 miles, roughly 3,500 steps, or about an hour of your time (at a walking pace), that can be accomplished any way you prefer. We get it, pants are a burden these days and you certainly don’t need them for a Zoom call, so why would we make you put them on for a 5K? This virtual 5K is for those who unabashedly say, “I woke up like this!” And, although we probably could have guessed by your matted hair and pillow imprint on your face, it’s all good because we’re in this together.

HOW?

Run, walk, ride, rollerblade, cartwheel, skip, skateboard, yoga, do dishes, binge watch your favorite show, meditate, or just sleep. Basically, we encourage you to do you. Knock out this 5K by finishing 3.1 miles, getting 3500 steps, or a dedicating an hour of time to your favorite activity.

Post a photo or tons of photos on social media to show us how you 5k! Just mention @indianapolisparksfoundation on Facebook or @indyparksfnd on Instagram and Twitter and use hashtag #5kyourway.

WHEN?

This 5K is your way! So, whenever you want!

WHY?

You’ll receive:

  • a comfy t-shirt that displays our Lady Victory slaying as usual
  • a finishers medal
  • an invite to a 5k Your Way finishers party

And most importantly, your participation directly supports the Indianapolis Parks Foundation and our work to demonstrate the transformational power of parks. All year long we support parks programs, infustructure, and we fight food-insecurity through our project, Indy Urban Acres. It is with your help that we are able to increase our impact on the community.

We’ll provide the local food, drinks, and live music – you bring the picnic supplies (table, chairs, blanket, etc).
