Mission
The Indianapolis Parks Foundation was created in 1991 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We have the exclusive privilege of being one of only four supporting organizations of the Central Indiana Community Foundation.
Our Mission
The mission of the Indianapolis Parks Foundation is to enhance the recreational, educational and cultural life of the Indianapolis community by encouraging and soliciting support for our city's parks system.
Our Vision
Our vision is that parks in Indianapolis will be quality spaces for all citizens to enjoy, thanks to the financial generosity of its people.
We Do Three Things...
The Indianapolis Parks Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that does three things:
- We secure private funding to support our parks system.
- We help Indy Parks and Recreation build a world-class parks system by providing funding for land acquisition, park programs, capital improvements and maintenance.
- Our staff, board and volunteers advocate for quality parks and greenspace in Marion County.
